I like saving money. Especially when I can save on stuff I was going to buy anyways. So when Amazon has a 20% sale, that catches my attention. Lets see if you can save 20% at Amazon by using American Express Membership Rewards Points. Spend $250 and get up to $50 discount.
Save 20% at Amazon by using at least one American Express Membership Reward Point. Spend $250 and get up to $50 discount. Amazon will have this deal a few times a year and I’ll always check to see if Masha’s account is targeted as well. We’ll usually buy gift cards from Airbnb, Hotels.com or something travel related. I have read that lately though gift cards may or may not work. If this is the case, then I’m sure you wont have any problem applying the discount to other items. I know I don’t.
Terms And Conditions
First you have to see if you are targeted here. If you are, then click on the ‘Activate’ tab. Then you need to link your American Express Card to your Amazon account to be able to use your Membership Rewards points for part of the purchase. Now go back and read the Terms and Conditions. Then go load up your cart with at least $250 worth of stuff to maximize the 20% discount. Just make sure BEFORE you ‘Place your order’ that you only use one Membership Reward Point (as illustrated below).
The points are only valued by Amazon at 1 cent each. However, you can get a better value (up to 1.7 cents) by transferring your Amex points to partnering airlines. So save those points for a better redemption! Just add .01 to trigger this offer and pay the balance another way.
If you are targeted and you can see the discount at check out, you’re good. I love this offer when it comes around because its a quick and easy savings.
Were you able to save 20% at Amazon by using American Express Membership Rewards Points? Would love to hear.
