Our favorite Afitos Beach & Amazing Afitos Kassandra Greece Guide with a Map 2025

Afitos beach

The Afitos Kassandra Greece Peninsula is one of those super special places where you are close to amenities yet still quite remote (if you want to be).  Our favorite thing to do here is settle into one of the great guesthouses near Afitos Beach and wander the peninsula  surrounded by crystal clear water and white sandy beaches.

3 Afitos beaches are next to a charming village with cobblestone streets, stone-built houses, and panoramic views of the sea.  What can be better?!

Although beaches in Afitos are lovely, our absolutely favorite one on the Kassandra peninsula is called Possidi beach.  This guide shares the 12 best beaches around the peninsula with top hotels and restaurants to visit – especially the non touristy ones.

Best Time to Visit Afitos Beaches

Afitos beach
The glorious Afitos Beach

Afitos beaches have a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The ideal time to visit is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October)

During these months, the weather is warm, and the village is less crowded compared to the peak summer season of July and August.

Our Favorite Afitos Beach Halkidki

Afitos beach

Afitos beaches are known for having crystal clear water and that super fine white sand which is difficult to find in Europe!

Here are the 3 Afitos beaches that are the closest to the village.  Each has their own personality.  So, if you like a party, head to Afitos Beach.  If you are a family with small kids then Varkes Beach is best for you.  And if your thing is snorkeling, then head to Liosi Beach.
