Qatar Airways’ new Al Mourjan Business Lounge at The Garden is a luxurious oasis in the middle of Hamad International Airport (DOH). The airport just recently did a major expansion and added the Garden feature to it’s already quite large footprint.
Read on to find out the pros and cons of this Qatar Airways new business lounge in Doha Airport.
Ammenities – Qatar Al Mourjan Business Lounge At the Garden
The lounge is spread over 7,390 square meters and can accommodate up to 707 passengers. It features a variety of amenities, including a buffet, deli, restaurant, quiet area, meeting room, gym, spa, and four family rooms. The high ceilings making it super airy and bright.
Buffet
The buffet has many options for omnivores. Per many reviews the fare is OK, but not great. There are a few options for vegetarians and only limited salad for vegans.
Deli
The Al Mourjan business lounge at the Garden Deli offers many options for those in a hurry. It’s menu has 9 gourmet sandwiches to chose from, or you can build your own. The same goes for the salads (pre-set or build your own). For the vegetarians they offer a Falafel, with no options for vegans.
A sushi selection is also offered. They make avocado and veggie sushi upon request.
Restaurant
The Al Mourjan at the Garden business class lounge offers the same restaurant menu as their flagship lounge. It is divided into a breakfast time offering, and a lunch/dinner one
The menu at the time of our visit ranged from Beef tenderloin steak with Tarragon Sauce to Pan-Grilled Salmon to Chicken Biryani. There was also a Gobi Saag Masala vegetarian option and a Barley pumpkin vegan risotto which was ok but lacked flavor.
Coffee, Champagne and Wine Stations
There are 2 self serve coffee/tea/refreshment stations which also have an assortment of desserts, wines and champagne. As an aside, if you prefer a non-alcoholic champagne this lounge offers a few fantastic zero alcohol versions made in the champenoise method.
Quiet Area
The quiet area in the Al Mourjan business lounge at the Garden is very different from the one in their flagship lounge. For one the rooms are quite large and have a door, a refrigerator (not sure why as food and beverages are not permitted inside except for water).
There are single rooms with one chair in them and double rooms with 2. The chairs are slanted yet quite upright making it very uncomfortable (and in my case impossible) to sleep on. I used a few of the offered blankets to sleep on the floor which was very uncomfortable.
Next time, I will sleep in the lounge on one of the sofas (as many people were doing). In addition the lights kept on coming on in the room. The space is available for a 6 hour period.
Family Areas
There are 4 family rooms in the Al Mourjan at the Garden business lounge.
Spa and Gym
In addition, there is also a Spa and a Gym. At the time of writing, these amenities were closed.
The shower facilities are available now.
Games Room
The games room had a pool table and a few other games.
Meeting Room
The meeting room provides a space for meetings and other such business activities.

Wrap Up – Al Mourjan Business Lounge at the Garden
We pass through the Doha (DOH) airport very often, either visiting Qatar or just transitioning through to the Maldives or the Middle East. It is a fabulous airport with so many great business and first class lounges! As we mostly fly Qatar Airways Q suites we were very excited to visit the Qatar Al Mourjan Business Lounge at the Garden.
There is a lot to enjoy here. However, if you are looking for a place to sleep, we would highly recommend going to the flagship Al Mourjan Business Lounge as they have better sleeping accommodations.
What is your favorite lounge in Doha (DOH) or in other parts of the world? We love hearing about your favorites.
